- MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) - Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills, from a mixture of martial arts traditions and non-traditions, to be used in competitions. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. Such competitions allow martial artists of different backgrounds to compete. This art is also available to take as a fully comprehensive program.
- TRADITIONAL WESTERN BOXING - Boxing Modern boxing
originating from the UK. Boxing is a combat sport in which two people, male or female, generally of similar weight, fight each other with their fists. Boxing is supervised by a referee and is typically engaged in during a series of one- to three-minute intervals called rounds. There are three ways to win. Victory is achieved if the opponent is knocked out and unable to get up before the referee counts to ten seconds (a Knockout, or KO) or if the opponent is deemed too injured to continue (a Technical Knockout, or TKO). If there is no stoppage of the fight before an agreed number of rounds, a winner is determined either by the referee's decision or by judges' scorecards. - MAUY THAI - Muay Thai also known as Thai Boxing. A sport practiced
in Thailand which is similar to boxing but also allows strikes with the feet, elbows, and knees. Muay thai (which simply means the boxing of of Thailand), is the national sport of Thailand. This sport has been around for four centuries. In ancient times, the people of Thailand developed muay thai as a defense against enemy nations and it was tested in hand to hand combat by the ancient warriors of Siam. Muay thai makes use of four of the body's weapons: legs, knees, elbows and fists. This art is also available to take as a fully comprehensive program. - KICK BOXING - Kickboxing refers to the sport of combining
technique and style of boxing with kicking. Kickboxing is a standing sport and does not allow continuation of the fight once a combatant has reached the ground, although certain styles of Muay Thai make exceptions to this rule.Kickboxing is often practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a full-contact sport. Kickboxing is often confused with Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing. The two sports are similar; however, in Thai Boxing, kicks below the belt are allowed, as are strikes with knees and elbows. There are many arts labelled kickboxing including Japanese kickboxing, American kickboxing, Indian boxing, Burmese boxing, as well as French boxing. The term kickboxing is disputed and has become more associated with the Japanese and American variants. Many of the other styles do not consider themselves to be 'kickboxing', although the public often uses the term generically to refer to all these martial arts. This art is also available to take as a fully comprehensive program. - GRAPPLING - Grappling is a general term that encompasses several
disciplines or styles practiced throughout the world. Grappling is practiced as a sport and as a form of self defense, but does not include striking or the use of weapons. Some grappling disciplines, however, do teach defensive tactics against strikes and weapons.Grappling techniques can be broadly subdivided into Clinch fighting; Takedowns and Throws; Submission holds and Pinning or Controlling Techniques; and Sweeps, Reversals, Turnovers, and Escapes. - KARATE - Karate originating from Japan, is a striking art using punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques such as knife-hands .Grappling, locks, restraints, throws, and vital point strikes are taught in some styles.
- KALI - Kali a Filipino Martial Arts where skills in both empty hand and weapons . They are based on (Filipino Boxing), (Filipino Kickboxing),(Stick Fighting), (Knife Fighting Training), (Close Quarters Range) and (Grappling). The name Kali is seldom used in the Philippines and in most cases is an unknown term for eskrima.
- PANANTUKAN - Panantukan also known as dirty boxing, is the empty handed boxing component of Filipino martial arts. Many of the techniques and movements are derived from Eskrima/Kali (Filipino b
lade and stick fighting). The art primarily consists of upper-body striking techniques such as punches, elbows, head-butts, shoulder strikes, and groin punches, but it also includes low-line kicks and knee strikes to the legs, shins, and groin. Since it is not a sport but rather a street-oriented fighting system, the techniques have not been adapted for safety or conformance to a set of rules for competition, thus it has a reputation as "dirty street fighting".This system goes hand-in-hand with our knife or stick self defence programs. This art is also available to take as a fully comprehensive program. - JEET KUNE DO - Jeet Kune Do (JKD) Unlike more traditional martial arts, is not fixed or patterned it is a hybrid fighting system and life philosophy founded by Bruce Lee in 1967 with direct, non classical, and straight forward movements. Jeet Kune Do is primarily an open hand system.Works on the use of different 'tools' for different situations. These situations are broken down into ranges (Kicking, Punching, Trapping, & Grappling), with techniques flowing smoothly between them. The core concepts of JKD are derived from Wing Chun. This includes such ideas as centerline control, vertical punching, trapping, and forward pressure.
- SILAT - Silat originally developed in Malaysia,Silat was influenced by both Chinese and Indian martial arts.Footwork & dance forms are used for tumbling, striking, kicking, blocking & agility movements for combat & Weapon use ,dagger ,machete, walking stick & sarong.
